Todd Anderson, 21, of the 4400 Block of Northeast 27th Street died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound Tuesday at home. The death has been ruled a suicide. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Southtown Funeral Home. Cremation will follow services.
Mr. Anderson was born in Colorado and had lived in Des Moines five years. He was a service writer and mechanic with Bosselman’s Travel Center and a member of the Army Reserve. He enjoyed rebuilding cars and four-wheel vehicles.
He is survived by his parents, Cheryl and James Taylor of Des Moines, eight brothers, Tyler Anderson of Utah and Tony Taylor, Michael Taylor, Andrew Taylor, Matthew Taylor, Joseph Taylor, Tyler Taylor and Nicholas Taylor, all of Des Moines; two sisters, Sarah Taylor and Jessica Taylor, both of Des Moines; and his grandparents, Jeanne and Ronald Calder of Des Moines and Charles Taylor of Oxford, Ark.
His companion was Anna Wolvers of Runnells.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Todd Anderson Memorial Fund.
