Dianne (Stiles) Tingle, 78, died on December 26, 2011 due to complications of a stroke. She was born on February 6, 1933 in Des Moines. Dianne graduated from Chariton High School in 1951 and from Graceland University as a Registered Nurse in 1955 going to work as a surgical nurse at Methodist Hospital in Des Moines. In 1958 she married James Tingle of Runnells.
Dianne was baptized into the Community of Christ Church and remained a lifelong and faithful member where she was the regular organist in her youth.
She is survived by her mother, Mildred Stiles Alexander; step-sisters, Carol Phillips (Dean), Helen Alexander and Elizabeth Tushnet (Mark); children, Sheila Miller, Sheri Tingle (Brent Bennett) and Bryan Tingle (Michele); three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father, Raymond W. Stiles and step-father, Neil Alexander.
All are welcome at Dianne's celebration of life service which will be held on Friday, December 30 at 2 p.m. at the Runnells Historical Society (formerly RLDS Church), 203 Brown St., Runnells, IA 50237. The family will also receive friends after the service at the Runnells Christian Church, 301 Brown Street.
In lieu of flowers memorials will be given to Hospice of Central Iowa and the Chariton Community of Christ Memorial Fund. Memorials may be sent in care of Sheila Miller, 500 Brown Street, Runnells, IA 50237. (515) 966-2874
