W. T. Strobehn Taken By Death
Well Known Farmer Of Akron Vicinity.

William T. Strobehn, well known former Akron resident, passed away March 31, 1942, at the General Hospital in Los Angeles, Cal., following two weeks illness. He had been a sufferer from heart trouble and hardening of the arteries.

William Thomas Strobehn was born at Alcester, Union county, S.D., May 26, 1879, and grew to manhood in Union county. He was united in marriage with Frances Elizabeth Trautt on April 10, 1910 in San Francisco, Cal. To this union ten children were born, all of whom survive with the exception of a little daughter, Florence, who died on her father’s birthday, May 27, 1927 at the age of four years.

He is survived by his wife, Frances, and seven sons and two daughters—William Thomas, of Los Angeles, Cal.; Mrs. Agnes Heald, of Sioux City; Leo Kenneth and Mrs. J. Billings, of Los Angeles; Clifford M. in the United States army; Donald F. and George James, with the Douglas Aircraft Corporation in California; Herbert Joseph and Floyd Thomas, of Los Angeles.

All but the oldest of the Strobehn children were born on what was their farm four miles northeast of Akron. Because of Mr. Strobehn’s ill health, the family left four years ago for California and have since made their home in Los Angeles.

Mr. Strobehn was a man of fine character, a good citizen and neighbor and popular in the community.

Services were held Tuesday in the Rossow funeral home in Akron. Rev. A. A. Howe of the Methodist church officiated and burial made in the family plot in Riverside cemetery.
