Note: His mother's maiden name was Carlson. His first name is Carl.

C. Harry Johnson

C. Harry Johnson, 78, Akron, died Wednesday (Nov. 3, 1982 in the Akron nursing home of an apparent heart attack.

Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5 in the Immanuel Lutheran church in Akron. The Rev. Marvin Mueller officiated. Burial was in Riverside cemetery under the direction of the Schroeder funeral home. A prayer service was held at 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.

Soloist, Arlin Milbrodt, sang “What A Friend” and “Going Home”, accompanied on the organ by Mrs. Stuart Harris.

Pallbearers were Gerald Johnson, Gordon Johnson, Lynn Johnson, Heath Johnson, Marlin Johnson, Henry Anderson and Rev. Dennis Johnson.

C. Harry Johnson was born November 11, 1903, at Leeds, Sioux City. He married Emma Eva Miller March 31, 1926, in Sioux City. They farmed in the Akron area for many years. He worked at the grocery store at Ruble, operated his own store in Akron for two years and worked at the K&K store for 11 years. Mrs. Johnson died in 1960. Mr. Johnson entered the Akron nursing home in 1980.

Survivors include one son, Darwin of Akron; one sister, Mrs. Minnie Johnson of Akron; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
