Grandma Graves died last Monday afternoon at the home of her son Hans four miles north of Melvin, of inflammation of the bowels. She had been sick for nearly two months, and always bore up patiently, even cheering those around her. During her life of 75 years she had always been a good Christian lady, a constant and valued member of the Lutheran Church and true to her belief until death, when she was called to her heavenly home and relieved of all sorrow and suffering for "Where bright holy angels throng there can be no sorrow" and "Where Jesus reigns in his glory all tears shall be washed away." The dead was laid to rest in its beautiful casket covered with flower tribulations presented by friends. The funeral was held from the Lutheran Church, Thursday afternoon, Rev. H. Finke conducting the services after which the remains were interred in the Baker Cemetery. The departed leaves two sons, their wives, and 7 grandchildren to mourn her loss. Their many friends extend their tenderest sympathy.
