MELVIN MAN DIES OF BRIGHTS DISEASE

George Lyman Succumbs in Hartley Hospital

Melvin, August 9, (Special) - George Lyman, resident of this community, died at the hospital in Hartley early Saturday morning, August 6, of acute bright's disease. Death followed an illness of about two weeks.

George Lyman was born June 23, 1891, on his parents' homestead six miles south of Sibley. December 12, 1917, he was united in marriage to Miss Blanch Finke(sic) who survives together with his mother, Mrs. H.C. Lyman, Sibley, three sisters, Mrs. Fred Isley, Verno, N.D., Mrs. John Muilenburg, Melvin, and Mrs. Sarah Lyman, Sibley; seven brothers, Dallas, Wyndmere, N.D., Clark and Ralph, Vernona, N.D., John and Jesse, Melvin; Lewis, Hartley and Tracy. His father, three brothers and two sisters preceded him in death. He was a member of the Melvin Evangelical Lutheran Church, having been baptized and confirmed August 9, 1925.

Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon by the Rev. G. Goeken at the home and at the Melvin Lutheran Church.
