Funeral services for Mrs. Earl (Elsie) Jehle, 75, were held at St. Joseph's Catholic church, West Liberty April 22 with the Rev. John Morrissey officiating. Burial was in the Lone Tree cemetery. Mrs. Jehle died at Mercy hospital, Iowa City, April 20.

The daughter of Frank and Antonio Vrana Hora, she was born at Lone Tree Oct. 4, 1910. She was married to Earl Jehle in West Liberty June 12, 1929. He died in 1981.

She and her husband owned and operated the Twin Gables restaurant in West Liberty in the 1940's and Earl and Elsie's in the 1950's. She had worked as a cook at the Hawker Nursing home and at the Simpson Memorial home.

She is survived by a son, Earl Robert (Bob), Durant; a daughter, Mrs. Billy H. (Shirley Ann) Williams, Des Moines; a brother, George Hora, Iowa City; 3 sisters, Blanche Havel, Washington; Marcella Meinert, Durant and Betty Frimmi, Walcott; 4 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by 2 brothers and a sister.
