Funeral services for Everett Gosenberg, 81, West Liberty, were held Aug. 13 at the Snider Funeral Home in West Liberty, with the Rev. Donald Thompson officiating. Burial was in the Oak Ridge cemetery.
Mr. Gosenberg died Aug. 9 at Mercy hospital in Iowa City.
He was born May 18, 1903 in Lakeview to Charles and Jennie Alley Gosenberg. He married Opal J. Hime in 1926 in Muscatine. He was a former member of the Modern Woodmen of American. He was a former trucker and retired parts man for the Chevrolet garage in West Liberty.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Charles, West Liberty; 3 granddaughters, 2 step-grandsons; 6 great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Faye (Ethel) Musser, Lone Tree.
He was preceded in death by a sister and 3 brothers.
