Funeral services for Nellie B. Griffith, 93, Muscatine and formerly of Wilton, were held Aug. 4 at the Wilton United Presbyterian church, with the Rev. G. W. Ukena officiating. Burial was in the Oakdale cemetery.

Mrs. Griffith died Aug. 1 at the Lutheran Home in Muscatine following a brief illness.

She was born Aug. 26, 1890 in Muscatine to William C. and Anna Belle Yerington Bryant. She married Harry Griffith Sept. 30, 1920 in Wilton.

Mrs. Griffith was a charter president of the Wilton American Legion Auxiliary Post. No. 584. She had assisted her husband for over 55 years in operating the Griffith Funeral Home and the Griffith Furniture Store.

She is survived by her husband in Muscatine, 2 nephews, Robert Crow, Des Moines and Robert Fulton, Cedar Rapids and a brother-in-law, Clarence Fulton, Muscatine. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters and a brother.
