finished in the best style, and open for the reception of all those who wish to patronize him. Having incurred a very heavy expense in the erection of a commodious Hotel, (where one has been so much needed) he hopes, by personal
attention to business and a strict regard for the comfort of his guests, to merit remuneration through the patronage of a generous public. His Table will be provided with the best the markets affords. His Stable is commodious, and will always be attended by trusty ostlers. Dissolution. The partnership heretofore existing between Lowe & Whicher, in the practice of Law, is dissolved by mutual consent, they will both continue to wind up the business jointly commenced by them.
Administrators Notice. The Subscriber has taken out Letters of Administration on the Estate of Oliver Fairchild, late of Muscatine county,
deceased. All persons having claims against the deceased are requested to present them to the Subscriber, or the court of Probate for the county of Muscatine, for settlement within nine months from the date hereof, and all

By virtue of an execution to me directed, from the Clerk of the Supreme Court of Iowa Territory, at Burlington, bearing date August 27, 1840, in favor of John Click, against John Carothers. I have levied upon the north-east quarter of Section eleven, in township seventy-seven north range, four west of the fifth principal; containing ONE HUNDRED AND SIXTY ACRES of land more or less, second rate, and will offer the same for sale on
the 23d of November A.D. 1840, at the Court house door in the town of Bloomington, between the hours of 10 o'clock, A.M. and 4 o'clock P.M. of said day for cash in hand. James Davis, Sheriff.
