MUSCATINE, Iowa - Davenport Assumption needed a quarter before getting rolling to a 73-38 sophomore boys reserve basketball win over Muscatine Saturday in the MHS Fieldhouse.

The two teams were deadlocked 8-8 after one quarter, but Assumption jumped on the Muskies for 28 points in the second period to go in front 36-15.

Dustin Welsch hit four 3-pointers en route to leading the Muskies with 13 points. Nils Hovland chipped in with 10 for Muscatine (1-1).
