Dear Sir:-

1. The Army Recruiting Officer at Chariton under date of 28 June 1917, certified to this office the RAYMOND LEO CLEMENT BURKE has enlisted in the Army. His registration certificate number 21 shows he was registered in Walnut Ward, Layton precinct, county of Pottawattamie, State of Iowa.

2. The Registration board which has the card of this man in its files will withdraw the same, make upon it the notations contained in the above paragraph, and hold the card in a separate file until the Provost Marshal General directs what disposition to make of it.
