Mrs. Wallace (Cora) Means, 76, of Melrose, died Monday at Taintor.
She was born at Russell on May 15, 1901, the daughter of Lorenzo and Alice White Lemley. A lifetime resident of the Melrose area, she attended' school in Russell. In 1919, she married Wallace Means, in Russell. He died Nov. 17, 1954.
Surviving are two sons, Leo of Lucas and Raymond of Melrose; four daughters, Madonna Abbas of Melrose, Theresa McGee of Oskaloosa, Marie Comstock of Taintor, and Doris Hershberger of Albia; 26 grandchildren, and 27 great-grandchildren
She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Ruby Sloan and Dora Means; two brothers and one sister.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 10 a.m., at the Humeston Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry' Brown officiating. Burial will b e in Oak View Cemetery.
