Mrs. Maggie Webb, aged 35 years, was murdered at Buxton, near Oskaloosa, on the night of the 10th. She was stabbed in the breast and her throat cut from ear to ear. The body was dragged to the Northwestern tracks in an attempt to hide the murder, but the train pushed the body off, only severing the heel. The murderer is unknown.
