Patsy “Pat” Ann Bellis, 78, of Onawa, Iowa, passed away Sunday, July 28, 2024, at her home, surrounded by her family.

A funeral service will be 10:30 A.M. Thursday, August 1, 2024, at the First Christian Church, Onawa, Iowa, with Pastor Clif Cockburn, officiating. A live stream of the service will be posted on the Goslar Funeral Home website with Pat’s obituary. Burial will follow in the Onawa Cemetery, Onawa, Iowa. A visitation will be 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 31, 2024, with a 6:45 P.M. prayer service at the Goslar Funeral Home Chapel, Onawa, Iowa. Arrangements are under the direction of Goslar Funeral Home and Monuments, Onawa, Iowa.

Patsy Ann was born January 17, 1946, in Onawa, Iowa, the daughter of Clyde and Margaret (Rafferty) Bean. She attended West Monona and graduated with the class of 1964. During high school Pat worked at Café 75. After graduation she worked as the secretary for Loomis + Son Trucking and worked at Coop Café nights and weekends.

Pat and Jerry Bellis were united into marriage on June 4, 1967, at the First Christian Church in Onawa. To this union they had two children: Kim and Jeremy.

Later she worked at B + B Roundup on the weekends, and then after her retirement Pat worked for West Monona for a couple of years in the kitchen.

She enjoyed going to the casino, bowling, taking care of her flowers, and liked ceramics. Pat was an avid reader and enjoyed watching “Wheel of Fortune” and John Wayne Westerns. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and being able to go to their sporting events.

Some of Pat’s favorite sayings were “Sh*t the Bed” and “You’re Sh*tting Me”. She attended “Board Meetings” at O’Neil’s and Suds and Jugs, with co-workers.

Pat was a member of the American Auxiliary, with guidance from Aunt Mac. She was a member of the First Chirstian Church in Onawa, Iowa. After the passing of her husband, Pat strengthened her faith.

Survivors include her, children, Kim (Jeff) Gray of Winterset, Iowa, and Jeremy (Emily) Bellis of Onawa, Iowa; grandchildren, JJ (Kyndra Sorensen) Gray, Kelsey (Cody Stukenholtz) Gray, Kali Gray, Andelin Bellis, Laken Bellis, and Brynn Bellis; great-grandchildren, Callen Gray, Tryce Gray, Wesley Gray, and Kyra and Karsyn Ann Stukenholtz; sister and best friend, Ruth (Roger) Meadows; sisters-in-law, Irene Mings, and Mary Bellis; brothers, Dale Bean and Gary (Janie) Bean; brothers-in-law ,Tony (Dixie) Bellis, and Ed Clift; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; along with many other family members and dear friends; and extended family, Jeff (Dawn) Sander and family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Bellis; parents, Clyde and Margaret Bean; sisters, Judy Clift and Neva Bean; brothers, Ralph Bean, and Robert Bean; parents-in-law, Robert and Etheleen (Meadows) Bellis; brother-in-law, Gary Bellis, and Kenny Mings; and sister-in-law, Carol Bean.
