David “Dave” G. Bryan, 69, of Rosalie, Nebraska passed away suddenly, Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at his residence.

A memorial service will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 12, 2024 at the Goslar Funeral Home Chapel, Onawa, Iowa, led by Jack Gibler. A live stream of the service will be posted on the Goslar Funeral Home website with Dave’s obituary. The family requests those attending to please wear casual dress. Burial will follow in the Graceland Cemetery, Blencoe, Iowa, with Military Honors provided by the United States Air Force and the David McNeill American Legion Post #129, Onawa, Iowa. A visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Goslar Funeral Home and Monuments, Onawa, Iowa.

David George was born December 25, 1954 in Onawa, Iowa, the son of Fred and Bertha (Powell) Bryan. He grew up in Blencoe, Iowa and graduated from West Monona Community School with the class of 1973. After high school, Dave enlisted in the United States Air Force and served September 27, 1973 and was honorably discharged September 26, 1977.

Dave and Darcy Lea (McCall) were united into marriage on September 16, 1977. Two children were born to this union, Patrick and Kelli. The couple later divorced.

Dave worked as a technician/manager for HunTel/American Broadband Telephone Company located in Osmond, Walthill, and Rosalie, Nebraska for forty-two years.

Dave and Debra (Hyatt) Lopez were united into marriage on April 6, 2013 in Onawa, Iowa.

He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, cooking, and anything outdoors. Dave was a kind man and always helped others when they needed anything. Dave was a past member of the American Legion and also volunteered for the Blencoe Memorial Day services for several years.

Survivors include his wife, Debra of Rosalie, Nebraska; mother, Bertha L. Bryan of Onawa, Iowa; children, Patrick Bryan of Oakland, Nebraska, Kelli (Eric) Sherwood of Omaha, Nebraska; seven grandchildren, Natasha Menon, Amelia Bryan, Aiden Bryan, Michael Henderson, Adriana Rodriguez, Riley Wilson, and Chloe Wilson; sister, Cindy (Bill) Gantz of Onawa, Iowa; nieces, Heather Bryan of Whiting, Iowa, Melissa (Glenn) Koenigs of Onawa, Iowa, and BJ (Justin) Richards of Onawa, Iowa; cousins, Stefanie (Dale) Hecht and Kent (Jan) Powell; many great-nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Fred J. Bryan; brother, Michael T. Bryan; paternal grandparents, Fred and Fern (McLaughlin) Bryan; maternal grandparents, George and Leona (Bothwell) Powell; and uncle and aunt, Johnnie and Mabel Powell.
