Joseph “Joe” Edwin Kramer, 94, of Onawa, Iowa, passed away Sunday, June 9, 2024, at Burgess Health Center, Onawa, Iowa.

A funeral mass will be 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at St. John Catholic Church, Onawa, Iowa, with Father Michael Erpelding, celebrant, officiating. A live stream of the service will be posted on the Goslar Funeral Home website with Joe’s obituary. Burial will follow in the Onawa Cemetery, Onawa, Iowa, with Military Honors provided by the United States Air Force and the David McNeill American Legion Post #129, Onawa, Iowa. A visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Goslar Funeral Home and Monuments, Onawa, Iowa.

Joseph Kramer was born May 31, 1930, the son of Albert and Katherine (Wildy) Kramer, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Joe proudly served in the United States Air Force from February 1, 1951, and was honorably discharged September 21, 1952, during the Korean Conflict.

Joe and Mary Reynolds were united in marriage on October 11, 1952, in Sioux City, Iowa. To this union they had one son, Tim.

Joe worked for AT&T in Indianapolis, Indiana, and Shreveport, Louisiana, until his retirement. He enjoyed collecting coins over the years. Joe enjoyed NASCAR and the Indy 500. He was a member at St. John Catholic Church, Onawa, Iowa.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Kramer of Onawa, Iowa: sisters-in-law, Phyllis Reynolds, Beulah Miller, and Nancy Schallau all of Onawa, Iowa; nieces and nephews, Jane and Greg Heisterkamp, Ann and Vince Phillips, Melinda Reynolds, Neal Reynolds, Kirk and Jodie Reynolds, Brad and Jerrilyn Miller, Becky Anderson, Karen and Randy Larson, Cyndi and Paul Moorhead, Johnathan Moorhead, Deb and Lowell Phelps, Janet Shatswell, Sandy and David Robinson, Sally and Jon Towne, and Pam and Jerry Dunning; and several other relatives, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his son, Timothy Kramer; parents, Albert and Katherine (Wildy) Kramer; sister-in-law, Vivian and Don Randall; brothers-in-law, Leonard Miller, William Reynolds, Dick and Naomi Reynolds, Steve Reynolds, and John Schallau; and nephews, Ned Reynolds, Rick Reynolds, Ron Anderson, and Cole Shatswell.
