Marjorie “Marge” Louise Parks, 99, of Whiting, Iowa, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2024, at Pleasant View Care Center Assisted Living, Whiting, Iowa.

A Funeral Mass will be 10:30 A.M., Saturday, February 10, 2024, at St. John Catholic Church, Onawa, Iowa, with Father Michael Erpelding, celebrant, officiating. A live stream of the service will be posted on the Goslar Funeral Home website with Marge’s obituary. Burial will follow in the Onawa Cemetery, Onawa, Iowa. A visitation will be one hour prior to the service Saturday, February 10, 2024, at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Goslar Funeral Home and Monuments, Onawa, Iowa.

Marge Louise was born June 2, 1924, in Ceresco, Nebraska, the daughter of Louis and Mary (Pokorny) Stanislav. She attended Onawa High School and graduated with the class of 1941.

Marge and Wayne Parks were united in marriage on June 2, 1943, in Onawa, Iowa. June 2 was a special day for the couple, because it was both of their birthdays, and it was their wedding anniversary.

She was a housewife for many years. Later she worked at Pleasant View and Elmwood as well respected Certified Medication Aide.

Marge enjoyed puzzles, cards, and gardening. She was a great cook and baker. She loved spending time with her family. Marge always made everyone feel like family. You could tell her anything, and you could trust her with all your secrets.

She was a member of the rosary society and was a devoted catholic at St. John Catholic Church, in Onawa, Iowa.

Survivors include her three daughters, Marylou Bellis of Onawa, Iowa, Barbara (Dana) Bring of South Sioux City, Nebraska, Joann (Lary) Clark of Mondamin, Iowa; four sons, William (Special Friend Dianna) of Onawa, Iowa, Tom (Deb) Parks of Boonville, Missouri, Fred (Cindy) Parks of Moorhead, Iowa, and Larry (Patti) Parks of Onawa, Iowa; fifteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren; sister, Phyllis Camacho of Memphis, Tennessee; sister-in-law, Karon Stanislav of Woodbine, Iowa; and other relatives, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Parks; son, Donald Parks; parents, Louis and Mary (Pokorny) Stanislav; siblings, Darlene Ellis, and Robert Stanislav; and brothers-in-law, Alvro Camacho, and Dayle Ellis.
