Cora M. Brunson was born November 23, 1886 at Riceville, Mitchell, Iowa to Frank C. Brunson and Melissa Patterson.

Family found in the 1900 census at Jamestown, Howard, IA: Frank C Brunson 37, Malisia B Brunson 32, Cora M Brunson 12 , Willie H Brunson 6, Guy M Brunson 5, Robert O Brunson 2, Clifford H Brunson 5/12.

Cora married Lee E. Auringer 1907 at Riceville, IA. They had a son, Dale Auringer (born abt. 1909 at Jamestown, Howard, IA and died between 1920/1930 California from tuberculosis).

Family found in the 1910 census at Jenkins, Mitchell, IA: Lee E Oringer 22, Corah M Oringer 23, Dale L Oringer 1. (alternate spelling of surname.)

Cora and Lee Auringer divorced before 1920.
Found in the 1915 and 1920 censuses at Waterloo, Black Hawk, IA.:
1920: Cora M Oranger 32, son Dale Oranger, age 11, living at a boarding house.

Cora married Charles Garrett Van Riper about 1924 at Iowa (possibly Waterloo, IA).

Found in the 1930 census at Downey, Los Angeles, California: Charles Vanriper 44, Cora N Vanriper 43. (Should be Van Riper).

Cora died December 7, 1971 at Indio, Riverside, California and is buried at Rose Hill Cemetery, Whittier, Los Angeles, California.
