Betty J. Edler, 85, of Marshalltown, IA passed away Saturday, December 3, 2011, at Grundy County Memorial Hospital, in Grundy Center, IA. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, December 6, 2011, at Pursel Davis Funeral and Cremation Care in Marshalltown. A private family burial will be held at a later date. Betty was born March 16, 1926, to Roy and Stella Hickman in rural Garwin, IA. She was united in marriage to Eldon N. Edler on November 25, 1948. He died December 8, 1996.
Betty will be missed by her daughter, Ann (Dale) Eide of Chariton, IA; a son, Douglas (Laura) Edler of Gladbrook, IA; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters. She was preceded in death by her husband, and a brother.
