While Charles and Alexander Louks, brothers, were driving across a Northwestern track in an automobile at Marshalltown, they were struck by a passenger train. Charles was killed instantly and Alexander was seriously injured. They lived at Gilman.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born in 1893 and is buried in Graceland Cemetery.
