—Charles Beverly, editor of the Marshalltown Statesman-Press, committed suicide by shooting himself, on the 21 inst. He placed his revolver just back of the right ear, pulled the trigger and the ball passed clear through the brain and out at the left temple. He had previously made two attempts upon his life, why it is not known.
