BURKES.-Died, Saturday, October 19, 1889, at 6:25 o'clock A. M. from inflammation of the bowels, CORA BELLE BURKES, aged 4 years, 9 months and 24 days, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John E. Burkes, of Excelsior. Funeral Sunday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock from residence. Interment in Excelsior Cemetery. (Oskaloosa Herald, October 24, 1889)
