JACKSON.-Died, in this city, at his residence 907 East High Avenue, Monday, September 16, 1889, at 2 P. M., MR. WILLIAM B. JACKSON, in the 64th year of his age. MR. JACKSON had been a resident of this county for many years, residing in White Oak township, and thence removing to this city to engage in business. For some weeks Mr. Jackson had been ailing and failing, the disease making itself manifest in a decided form about one week ago, at which time arrangements were made to send him where he could have the best medical care and attendance. But a week ago he was taken bed-fast, and from that time on he gradually sank away, being unconscious nearly all the while. He received the most faithful care and attention from his devoted wife and children, and all was done that could be to alleviate his sufferings. The funeral will occur on Wednesday early in the afternoon, and the interment will be at White Oak Cemetery, by the side of other dead of the family. A good citizen, husband and father thus ends his earthly career. (Oskaloosa Herald, September 19, 1889)
