GRIFE – JONES – Married at four o’clock p.m., Wednesday, September 1, 1915 at his apartments in the Oskaloosa City Hall, by Mayor J.G. Harrold, Miss Anna L. Jones to Mr. Chauncey H. Grife, both of Barnes City.
Quite a wedding party, it was, that came in with the late afternoon to the office of the mayor, seeking him in official capacity. The young people were accompanied by a party made up of the family members, relatives and associates who witnessed the ceremony done in Mr. Harrold’s best manner. The party then proceeded to make merry and to celebrate the event in approved fashion, including a somewhat elaborate dinner at one of the leading cafes and the city officials were voted in on the cigars. Bride and groom are well known and popular young people in their community and the best wishes and congratulations of hosts of friends will be extended.
