July 11, 1947 - April 28, 2023
Phillip Van Vleet, 75, died April 28th, 2023 at Harmony West Des Moines. A visitation will be Wednesday, May 3rd from 5pm to 7pm at the Iles Norwalk Chapel. The funeral will be Thursday, May 4th at 10:30am at Norwalk United Methodist Church.
Phil was born July 11th, 1947 to Betty and Keith Van Vleet. He was in the Air Force from 1965 to 1968. After the Air Force he met Joan (Creger) and they married Oct. 2nd, 1972. Phil worked most of his life at the post office. He loved his sports especially Iowa State, Cubs and The Bears!
Phillip is survived by his wife Joan, his 2 daughters Jenny (Brady) Tomlinson, Holly (Junior) McGuire. His Grandchildren AJ McGuire, Dylan Estes, Emma Tomlinson, Haylee Estes, Olivia Tomlinson, Carsen Tomlinson and Chloe McGuire.
Phil was preceded in death by his brother Donny Van Vleet.
Phil will be cremated and the burial will be Saturday, May 13th at 1pm at the North McDonald Cemetery, 1593 Prairie View Ave., Jefferson township, IA 50261.
