Thompson A. Hardenbrook was born in Mercer County, Illinois, in 1847, where he grew to manhood. In September, 1861, he enlisted in the Seventh Kansas Calvary, and served three years with the Western army. After the war he returned to Illinois, and soon after came to Iowa. In 1876 he went to Kansas, where he lived until 1882, then went to Winterset, Madison County, thence to Creston.
He was married at Winterset, to Ann Shepherd, a native of Pennsylvania. She removed to Illinois with her parents, and died at Winterset, February 27, 1882. Mr. Hardenbrook has three children - two sons and a daughter.
The firm of Farley, Luster & Hardenbrook deal very largely in Western lands. They are men of experience and are thoroughly responsible.
