Chariton, Iowa
Thursday, July 21, 1875

Messrs. WILCOX & SON, call attention to their riding revolving, expanding,
unceremonious, self-adjusting, self-contracting, self-greasing, and
self-righteous hoss rake. They are just the thing that farmers need to save
their large crops of hay, being as easy to keep in repair as a hitching post
and will rake up a paper of pins, sown broadcast in a ten acre field of
wheat stubble.

These rakes can be used in the winter for a hen roost, or sawed up in stove
wood for the kitchen fire. Besides 'BERT' avers that no farmer of good
moral character should be without this rake even if he had to steal one.
