AlgonaMrs. Leonard (Ben) Weber, 90, died Monday at the Good Samaritan Care Center where she had been a resident for a month.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Cecelia's Catholic Church with burial in Calvary Cemetery. A scripture reading will be said at 7:45 p.m. and a parish rosary at 8 p.m. Tuesday at Wilson Funeral Home.
Surviving are her husband Leonard (Ben) Weber; daughters, Mrs. Ralph (Marilyn) Hach, Nevada; Mrs. Marcella Zittritsch, Austin, Minn.; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Hanna Quinn, Creston.
Margaret Walsh was born in Union County near Creston and granduated from Creston High School and also Creston Community College. She taught rural schools for 12 years until she married Leonard Weber in 1920 in Creston.
The couple farmed in the Plum Creek Township near Algona until 1954. They then moved to a farm near Britt, farming there for six years before retiring in 1966 and moving to Algona.
Mrs. Weber was a member of St. Cecelia's Guild. ~ The Des Moines (IA) Register 09 Aug 1978.
