A telegram was received from Spencer last week stated that W. S. Windell’s oldest daughter had died of cerebro spinal meningitis after a lingering illness. Frances was a bright little girl and a favorite of all with whom she came in contact. The parents and remaining daughter have the sympathy of a wide circle of friends here in their great affliction.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows two burial sites for her – one in Kossuth County in Algona (Riverview Cemetery) and one in Clay County in Spencer (Riverside Cemetery). She is probably in Riverview Cemetery in Algona as that gravestone shows her parents also. It shows she was born Dec. 2, 1896 and died Oct. 11, 1902.
