Former Sigourney resident David Erwin, 49, of Storm Lake died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 1992, at Marion Health Center in Sioux City after a long illness.
He was born October 9, 1948, in Oskaloosa to Harold and Ollie McArtor Erwin. He married Janice Wright in 1963, they were later divorced. He then married Sharon Hirsbrunner November 4, 1967, in Williamsburg, they were later divorced. He worked at Bill & Rays Chrysler Plymouth in Sigourney as a mechanic, owned a DX station in North English for three years and then moved to Coon Rapids in 1974. He worked at Garst Co. and in 1980 he moved to Storm Lake and worked for Don's Body Shop as a wrecker operator and mechanic. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Storm Lake.
He is survived by two sons, Ronald and Randall Erwin; two daughters, Renee Erwin and Tammy Erwin; three grandchildren; his parents; two brothers, Keith and Jim Erwin; and a special friend, Jan Maddox.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1 at Holm Funeral Home in Sigourney with
Frances Baumert officiating. Burial was in Garrett Cemetery near Delta.Clipping from unknown newspaper
