WYOMING - Gordon Marshall, 53, died unexpectedly Sunday morning, Dec. 26, in his home at Wyoming. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Dec. 29, 1:30 p.m. in Wyoming Presbyterian church with Rev. Karl Swanberg, Cedar Rapids, in charge. Burial was in Wyoming cemetery.
Casketbearers were Ernest Reitz, Thomas Eichhorn, Howard Day, Marvin Nissen, Ben Bahnsen and Herman Carstensen.
Mr. Marshall was the third eldest son of Ted and Edith Reade Marshall. He attended and graduated from the local school and spent one year at Coe college, Cedar Rapids. For the last 43 years he has been a member of the Crescent Printing company, Wyoming, owned and operated by his father, Ted.
He served for several years on the Wyoming school board of education, was a charter member of the community club, and a retired member of the Wyoming volunteer fire department.
Survivors are his wife, Dorothy, Wyoming; a son, Jack, and a daughter, Shirley, and one grandson, all of Cedar Rapids; his father, E. R. Marshall; three brothers, Harold, Wyoming; Lyle, Pinole, Calif.; Charles, Wyoming; two sisters, Miss Ellen Marshall, Oskaloosa, Mrs. Harriet Chaplin, Onslow, and several nieces and nephews.
