Services are pending at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home of Canyon Lake for Bernice ZAMORA, 79, of Canyon Lake. She died March 2, 1989, at McKenna Memorial Hospital.

Bernice M. HIATT ZAMORA

Memorial services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Church in the Valley for Bernice M. HIATT ZAMORA, 79, of HC4, Box 123, Canyon Lake. The Rev. Mark Simpson of Canyon Lake will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield, Iowa, on March 6, 1989, under the direction of Raymond Funeral Home of Fairfield, Iowa.

Mrs. ZAMORA died March 2, 1989, at McKenna Memorial Hospital.

She was born Oct. 14, 1909, in Packwood, Iowa, to John and Mae (nee SMITH) HEALD. She married Lester HIATT on June 11, 1933. He died Nov. 22, 1962. She married Benjamin ZAMORA on June 11, 1963. He died Jan. 19, 1987. Mrs. ZAMORA had taught school in Packwood, Iowa, and in the Rio Grande Valley before her retirement. She had lived in Comal County for 20 years and was a member of Church in the Valley.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Lou and Robert DUNN of Houston; son John HIATT of Houston; sisters, Helen LISK of Fairfield, Iowa, and Gladys PARKS of Maquoketa, Iowa; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Memorials may be given to Church in the Valley. There will be no visitation at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home.
