In 1976, they purchased their first property at Lake of the Ozarks, where they would visit until becoming permanent residents in 1994. After moving to the lake permanently, Shirley loved to host various parties and get togethers at their home and lake home. They truly loved their time at the Lake of the Ozarks, spending time on the lake, camping, hiking and taking in all the lake had to offer.
In her spare time, she loved puzzles, designing the school floats, dancing and swimming.
