Died in Kansas City
Arthur Taylor of This City Passes Away April 30th
Work came the last of the week of the death of Arthur Taylor which had occurred in Kansas City last Friday, April 30. Mr. Taylor had been sick since last January. He went to Mayo Bros. Soon after he was taken ill and shortly after going there he came to Kansas City where he remained until his death.
Mr. Taylor was born at Keokuk, Iowa, April 28, 1860. He entered service of the Rock Island at Des Moines, Iowa in August 1883 as a clerk in station service working in that capacity until December 1900 when he accepted a similar position with D. & R.G. at Pueblo, Colo. he worked for the D. & R.G. at Pueblo and Colorado Springs until Jan. 28, 1906 when he re-entered the service of the Rock Island as clerk in superintendent's office at Colorado Springs working there, until May 1, 192 when he transferred to Fairbury and has resided here since that time.
He was a faithful, conscientious worker, a true friend and well liked by his associates who will greatly miss him.
Surviving are his wife, a sister living in Denver, one in Keokuk, Iowa, and one in Minneapolis. Burial was made in Collins, Iowa, where other members of his family are buried.
