Mrs. Royald Altes Dies; Services Are Wednesday
Mrs. Royald (Betty Lou) Altes, 43, died at 6:10 this morning at the Chillicothe hospital, where she had been a patient since June 9. Mrs. Altes had been seriously ill several months.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 Wednesday morning at the Assembly of God church with the Rev. Orville Grace officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon at the Graham cemetery near Mingo, Ia.
The body will lie in state at the Lindley Funeral Home until 8:30 Wednesday morning, at which time it will be taken to the church to lie in state until the funeral hour.
She was born March 5, 1928, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Foster Standley. On Dec. 19, 1950, she was married to Royald Altes. Mr. and Mrs. Altes have resided in the Trenton and Chillicothe areas since 1955.
Mrs Altes was a member of the Assembly of God church.
Surviving are her husband of the home, 204 Clay street; four sons, Dean Altes of Steamboat Springs, Colo., Garold Altes of Meeker, Colo., Donald Altes of Boone, Ia., and John Altes, Milan; four daughters, Mrs. Sam Claybrook of Boone, Ia., Mrs. Tom Huffman of Trenton, Mrs. John Doll of Gallatin, and Marilyn Altes of the home; a brother, Gene Standley, Elkhart, Ia.; two sisters, Mrs. Virgil Watts of Vandalia, Ill., and Mrs. Ronald Bingham, Ontario, Calif.; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Foster Standley, Noble, Ill., and six grandchildren.
