Wanda Lou Van De Krol, 91, of Pella and formerly of Lynnville, passed away Sept. 2, 2024. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 7, at Lynnville Friends Church. Memorials have been designated for Bible Truth Publishers, 59 W. Industrial Road, P.O. Box 649, Addison, IL 60101.
Wanda was born July 28, 1933, to Louis and Julia (Brand) Wanders in New Sharon.
Apr. 1, 1955, she was united in marriage to Robert Van De Krol. They met when Wanda was serving coffee time during threshing. To this union, they were blessed with five children. She enjoyed helping others by cleaning and helping out with their children. Some of her favorite hobbies were canning, gardening, and knitting. Wanda especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior in her early 20s and enjoyed worshipping in happy fellowship with the Saints Gathered Unto the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ in Pella.
Wanda’s family includes: Lynn (Joan) Van De Krol of Grinnell, Carroll (Teresa) Van De Krol of Butler, TN, Allen (Marsha) Van De Krol of New Sharon, Merlin (DaNaye) Van De Krol of Lynnville, and Diane (Mark) Breman of Rose Hill; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Wanda was preceded in death by her husband Robert, parents Louis and Julia Wanders, and her brothers Henry and Dwight.
