Mrs. John Koppes died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Peter Breden, Sr., last Sunday. Deceased was born in Koein, Luxemburg, Europe, seventy-eight years ago and came to Jackson county sixty years ago. Her husband preceded her to the grave four years ago. Mrs. Koppes leaves to mourn four sons and six daughters, Michael Koppes of Rockdale; Nicholas of Andrew; Math and Peter of Lamotte; Mesdames Peter Breeden, Sr., John Pitts, W. F. Hayes, J. F. Kircher of Lamotte; Mrs. Hansen of Cascade; Mrs. Sand of Bancroft also one brother, Peter Bechen of Lamotte. Funeral services and interment took place at the Holy Rosary church last Tuesday conducted by Rev. Father Friedmann. The pall bearers were T. J. Lambe, N. B. Nemmers, James Cahill, N. A. Hoffmann, M. A. Hintgen and Anthony Noel.
