Blanche died on 09 AUG 1956 at Maple Lane Rest Home in Silver Springs, MD. She had been living with her daughter, Beulah Seahorn.

There was an obituary on Friday, August 10, 1956 in the Washington Post. It stated she was 89, but no birthdate listed. There was not as much information as some obituaries provide, but did state she was to be buried in Preston, iowa.
