"L. W. Brownell, farmer, S. 31; P. O. Oelwein; born in Lafayette Co. Wis., in 1855; located in this county in 1877. Married Miss Hannah M. Housden in 1877; she was born in Iowa Co., Iowa, in 1860; he is a son of William Brownell, who was born in Oneida Co., N. Y., in 1813, and located a large tract of land in this county. He owns in this township 1,120 acres under fence and 650 acres in Wisconsin."
