Constance Sue Larson (64) of Phoenix, AZ passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 14, 2025 from natural causes. Constance is originally from Cresco, IA and is the daughter of Norris and Virginia Larson.
She graduated from Crestwood High School in 1978 where she was very active in music, band and drama. She had a huge passion for acting and loved performing in all of the high school and local theatre plays put on in Cresco. She went on to graduate with a degree in Criminology & Criminal Justice and a minor in Theater Arts at the University of Wisconsin - Platteville.
She worked various jobs after college in social work focusing on assisting battered women and displaced families. She also thoroughly enjoyed the mystery connected with a side job she had throughout the years with a small detective agency.
Constance moved to the Phoenix area around 1990 and later accepted employment at USAA in the Survivors Relations Department where she was enjoyed and supported by her coworkers. In Survivor Relations, Constance assisted veterans and their families transitioning through life stages. Con's coworkers described her as "supportive", "funny" and "fun to work with". Constance retired from USAA to focus on her own quilting business.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Norris & Virginia Larson.
Constance is survived by her life partner of 27 years, Dillon Powers; her beloved dog "Zoey", her Siblings Bruce (Beth) Larson, Dan (Deb) Larson, and Cathy (Bill) Froyum. She also took great pride in being "Aunt Con" to her 2 nieces, Carly and Kelsey, her 3 nephews, Tommy, Josh and Nick and 5 great-nephews, TJ, Liam, Spencer, Kason and Baker.
A Celebration of Life (family only) was held on Saturday, January 25th at 10:30 am in the Memorial Garden at LaCasa de Cristo Lutheran church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lupus Foundation or the AZ Humane Society.
