OBITUARY.
RINN.
Francis Patrick Rinn, second oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. William Rinn of Lourdes, died Thursday morning, Oct. 24th, 1918, after three weeks illness with typhoid fever.
He was born March 7th, 1899 and was nineteen years, six months, seventeen days at the time of his death. Who would have thought it possible but a few weeks ago when looking at that young man so full of health and vigor that the grave would so soon receive him, for there has been taken from among our midst a kind, good and virtuous man. He walked the way of a dutiful son, of a loving brother, a loyal friend and a good Christian. And in his sickness when tortured by pains he endeavored to imitate the patience of our Divine Lord, and when he felt his last hour coming, he asked for the means of grace provided by our church. Thus, he departed, well prepared by a good life and by the holy rites of our faith, to meet the judgment of God. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
He leaves to mourn, his father and mother, six sisters, Mamie, Clara, Anna, Ella, Regina and Margaret and two brothers, William in military service at Camp Dodge and Thomas at home and a host of friends and relatives.
His pallbearers were: Thomas Reynolds, Leo McCarville, James A. Bievers, Roy Waods, Lloyd Beaumaster and Eddie Conry. The funeral services were held at Our Lady of Lourdes Church on Saturday morning at ten o’clock conducted by Rev. C. Hogan. The body was laid in its final resting place in our Lady of Lourdes cemetery.
I wonder who the first will be,
To rest in grave yard yonder,
Ah, well, I know that I’m to be,
The first there to slumber.

Yes, in the grave he sweetly slumbers,
Still his spirit watches nigh,
Gladly left earth’s joy and pleasure,
For Heaven’s blest and joyous home.

He sleeps on hillside yonder,
Beneath that cold, green sod,
While Angels sing his praise above,
He is safe in Heaven with God.

CARD OF THANKS.
Words cannot express but we hope our actions may some day return the kindness and hospitality bestowed on us by our good neighbors and friends in the death of our dear son and brother; and also greatly acknowledge the beautiful floral offerings. May God give reward, that’s beyond our power.
