Married in North Dakota.
The wedding of Miss Florence Harriet Swella of Calmar, Iowa, and Leon Raymond Brown, of Cresco, Iowa, took place Wednesday at 5 o’clock at the home of the bride’s brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. E. A. McPhail, 1005 Tenth street South. The wedding was a very quiet one.
The ceremony was performed in the living room of the McPhail home, which was decorated with pink roses and ferns. Rev. R. A. Beard, pastor of the first Congregational church read the service. The bride wore a tailored suit of brown velour, with accessories to correspond, and a corsage of Gypsofolias and pink rose buds. She was unattended.
Miss Swella was well known in Fargo, having attended the Fargo high school and also the Agricultural college and the Fargo College of Music aed{sic} made many friends. Besides being a member of the Whofnoda Girls club, the Art Club and a member of the Eastern Star before leaving Fargo she held the position of secretary of the draft board.
After a trip to Escanaba and Detroit, Michigan, Mr. and Mrs. Brown will go to their home at Silver Valley farm, near Cresco, where Mr. Brown is engaged in stock raising.—Courier News, Fargo, N. D.
