Married.
An exceedingly pretty wedding was solemnized at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lybbert of Bonair on Sept. 2nd, 1919, when Rev. G. W. Turner united in marriage their eldest daughter, Erna Belle, to Frederick Wm. Mohr of Lime Springs.
The bride was elegantly gowned in white satin with overskirt and sleeves of white Georgette crepe trimmed with silk fringe and wore a string of pearls, the gift of the bridegroom. The bride was attended by two ring bearers, Elsie Mohr, gowned in white embroidered voile with white satin sash, and Ralph Lybbert, who was donned in white.
The ceremony commenced at 8:30 p. m. with a flute solo by Miss Helen Smith accompanied by Miss Bessie Smith, following which Mrs. G. W. Turner sang Carrie Jacoba Bond’s well-known song, “I Love You Truly.” To the strains of “The Wedding March” rendered by Miss Bessie Smith, the ring bearers each carrying a floral basket of pink asters, led the bride, who bore a sheaf of white roses, to meet the groom who was awaiting her by a tastily arranged bank of ferns and flowers, The double ring service was used.
After congratulations, dainty refreshments were served by the parents of the bride to about seventy guests.
In The course of the evening, the happy couple left by auto for a wedding trip, taking the road to Minneapolis. The bride’s traveling suit was navy blue, with black picture hat trimmed with blue and gray plumes.
The presents were varied and costly, and included a cheque for 500 dollars from the parents of the bride. Dining table and chairs from the parents of the bridegroom; from the bride’s grand parents several choice pieces of aluminum; a chest of silverware from an uncle in Indiana; a mahogany time piece from three aunts; a beautiful cut glass water set and fruit bowl from an aunt and neices{sic); Haviland china from another aunt; and five cheques from well wishers.
