G. A. Simes returned to Chester, last Thursday, from Austin, and to the surprise of his many friends began to set up the cigars at which time we all knew that he was no longer a single man, Miss Opal Baldwin being the lucky bride. Mr. Simes was butter maker at the Chester creamery for the past two years, having resigned his position on Sept. 1st, and while with us made a number of friends. Miss Baldwin is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Baldwin and is well liked by all who know her. Mr. and Mrs. Simes left Monday for Mountain Lake, Minn., where they will visit his parents for a while. From there they will move to the place in Minnesota where a position awaits Mr. Simes as first butter maker. Their many Chester friends extend congratulations.
