James Stevenson born Ja. 13, 1825 in Parish of Cathcart Scotland was married to Janet Grey Oct, 11, 1844. Born 12 children. Came to America Corpus Christie-Texas 1852-Returned to Scotland in 1856-Returned to America in 1866, came to Iowa, Howard County, bought 80 acres of land on Crane Creek from Government at 2 dollars per Acre.
