CALVIN F WEBSTER spent his boyhood days in Indiana, where he acquired his education, and there married Miss Serena Irvine. Mr Webster and his wife were both born in Ohio. After their marriage they subsequently removed to Howard Co, IA, where he took up the occupation of farming.Their daughter Clara E Webster, who was born in LaPorte, Indiana, is married to John Mc Cook a lawyer in Cresco. Mr Webster was also clerk of the court of Cresco for a number of years and later removed to Minneapolis, MN, where he died in 1918 at the notable old age of 90 years, and his wife had reached an equal age at her death. This is surely a marvelous history, for seldom does any couple attain such an advanced age. Mr Webster is a republican in his political views and fraternally is connected with the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, while both he and his wife have long been devoted and faithful members of the Congregational church. They were early settlers of Howard Co and yet most kindly remembered by many who knew them. Ref: History of Chickasaw and Howard Co. 1919, Vol 2, page 512
