SELL SCHOOLHOUSE AT PUBLIC AUCTION
The sale of the Crawford school house in Wayne township was well attended on Thursday afternoon. The school house was sold to Fred Long, who lives about six miles northwest of Mt. Pleasant for $380. The contents of the school sold at reasonable sums, except two old fashioned lamps which were antique items. The bidding was lively on the lamps and they sold for a good price. Good single seats sold for as little as 10 cents.
Mr. Long plans to move the school house to his farm for use as an out-building. This makes the fourth rural school house sold in Henry county this year.
Crawford voted to consolidate with Olds last May. This has been the only consolidation voted in recent years in Henry County.
