W.F. Kopp
Of Mt. Pleasant, was born near Dodgeville, Des Moines county, Iowa, June 20, 1869. He graduated from the Iowa Wesleyan College in 1892 and from the law department of the State University of Iowa in 1894. In the fall of the latter year he was elected county attorney of Henry county and in 1896 was re-elected. In 1906 he was appointed postmaster at Mt. Pleasant and served two terms. In 1914 he was elected state representative from Henry county. He was nominated for congress on the republican ticket in June, 1920, and was subsequently elected. On December 4, 1894, he married Miss Clara Bird of Mt. Pleasant.
