James W. "Kisser" Jones, 66, of Iowa Falls, died Sunday, Sept. 7, 2008 at the Ellsworth Municipal Hospital, Iowa Falls. Funeral services will be 1 pm Wednesday at the Linn's Funeral Chapel, Iowa Falls, with Rev. Russell Surls officiating. Visitation is from 11 am to service time at the Linn's Funeral Home, 1521 Washington Avenue, Iowa Falls. James W. "Kisser" Jones, 66, of Iowa Falls, Iowa, passed away Sunday, September 7, 2008, at the Ellsworth Municipal Hospital, Iowa Falls. Funeral services for James W. James William Jones was born February 7, 1942, at Iowa City, Iowa, the son of Bernita [Mulford] and Deo Albert Jones. He attended the Hampton, Iowa Community Schools graduating with the class of 1961. On June 20, 1964, James was united in marriage to Karolyn Kay Whitney in Canton, South Dakota. James worked for Farmland Food in Iowa Falls for many years, and then for SEEBEE Corp., Hampton, Iowa, after Farmland closed. He loved to fish and take care of his best friend: Lucky.
James W. Jones is survived by his wife: Karolyn Jones of Iowa Falls, Iowa; his children: Jake Jones of Iowa Falls, Lori [Robert] Clark of Colo, Iowa, Jodie [Marlin] Van Meter of O'Fallon, Missouri, Jeffrey [Melissa] Jones of Altoona, Iowa; eight grandchildren; nine great grand children; three sisters: Helen [Kenneth] Hutzel of Porland, Oregon, Pauline Nalan of Stacyville, Iowa, Verna Beard of Washburn, Iowa; one brother: Marlin "Joe" [Beverly] Jones of Hampton, Iowa; and his trusted friend: Lucky.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Deo and Bernita Jones; a grandson: Lewis Clark (son of Lori and Robert Clark); one sister: Marlys Kruckenberg; one brother: Donald "Pete" Jones; and two brothers-in-law: Clayton Nalan and James Beard.
